Speaking at the CMA Fall Seminar
I had the privilege of speaking on a panel at the California Mortgage Association’s Fall Seminar in Monterey, CA. The panel was moderated by Shafiq Taymuree of Stonecrest Financial and Brock VandenBerg of TaliMar Financial, and featured three attorneys, a DSCR lender, and myself. Together, we discussed the current state and outlook of the trust deed market and shared insights on where the industry is headed.
I shared thoughts on how we’re managing today’s market—focusing on portfolio maintenance and giving our investors the attention they deserve. Looking ahead, I expect the next 12 months to remain steady, with our focus on refining what we already do well.
AB 130 came up during the discussion, and I mentioned that it hasn’t had a direct impact on our junior lien lending.
Overall, it was a great experience, and I was grateful for the opportunity to be part of the conversation.
